"in the small town", a phrase written in the title track that best characterizes the artist behind this traditional country/alternative sound that evolved in the small towns in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.
In the spring of '94 PJ and few friends conjured the idea to start a Honky Tonk band in the northwest region of Missouri. This close nit group of green musicians called themselves "Young Country", and they were! Playin' the Honky Tonk Circuit in small town Missouri was far from glamorous, but did lay the foundation for this "roots" singer/song writer.
